Do your students like learning about Map Skills? I love when I begin my Map Skills unit. I ask the students about the state, country, city, etc. that they live in. Their answers are always Indianapolis for every answer. They are so funny and do not realize there is an entire WORLD out there. Oh and they also think the world is flat like a the map hanging up in the classroom.
So here is a FREEBIE to use with your Map Skills unit. Comment below about how you teach Map Skills.
I'm so excited to start a new year. Here's to a fantastic 2015!!! This year of course I have made MANY New Year Resolutions. At home and school I'm planning a few projects. I even have some resolutions for this blog. One resolution is to have a Friday Freebie on most Fridays. So stop by often and download a freebie. Today I have two freebies. One is a New Year 2015 crown and the other is a New Year Making Words activity. My students love to wear crowns around the school. Some of them even try to keep it on all day long even during recess. You can imagine what some of the crowns look like at the end of the day. If your class is anything like mine I would print a few extra. Enjoy and have a great first week back from Winter Break.
